Program summary

Program Overview

The LaunchPad by Vog Front End Web Developer Program course will be an intermediate look at the skills, languages, and methodologies companies are looking for. Vog takes industry feedback and adapts it into digestible courses to ensure industry compliance and familiar habits when transitioning into the workplace. LaunchPad’s Front End course will be covering the Javascript language, Javascript frameworks, modern CMS systems, best GIT practices, and personal management of both time and organization to ensure your projects are met on time and on budget (see what you will learn).

Measuring Success

Throughout the program, you will be attending daily classes and creating a realistic project with work broken out into 2-week sprints. Your instructor will interact with you on a daily basis to ensure your success in achieving the project and acquiring the skills necessary to succeed in today’s challenging frontend landscape.

Your Career

In your career as a front end web developer, you will typically work on front end related projects including Javascript frameworks such as React, Angular, and Vue, WordPress/PHP CMS systems, and applying a basic understanding of API calls and how your system works with the back end. Practicing regular Git processes, understanding common text editors (Visual Studio Code, WebStorm, etc.), and keeping up with modern libraries/frameworks will also be a regular practice while employed as a front end developer. You will be expected to build, create and maintain the entire front-facing process of any website or application, while expected to know and understand the difference between front end issues and back end issues.
