LaunchPad Android Developer Program

Program Summary

Program Overview

The LaunchPad by Vog Android Developer course will be an intermediate look at the skills, languages, and methodologies companies are looking for in an Android developer. Vog takes current industry feedback and adapts it into logical and understandable courses to ensure industry compliance and to create familiarized habits when transitioning into the workplace. LaunchPad’s Android course will be covering such topics as the Kotlin programming language, Android frameworks, Rest and GraphQL APIs, best GIT practices, and personal management of both time and organization to ensure your projects are met on time and on budget (see what you will learn).

Measuring Success

Throughout the program, you will be attending daily classes and creating a realistic project with work broken out into 2-week sprints. Your instructor will interact with you on a daily basis to ensure your success in achieving the project and acquiring the skills necessary to succeed in today’s challenging Android landscape.

Your Career

In your career as an Android developer, you will typically work on Android projects including frameworks such as Retrofit and Room combined with applying a basic understanding of API calls and how your system works with the backend. Practicing regular Git processes, understanding the Android Studio IDE, and keeping up with modern libraries/frameworks will also be a regular practice while employed as an Android developer. You will be expected to build, create, and maintain the entire application while understanding the difference between app-side issues and backend issues.
