Having a different background and work experience, I went to SAIT to change my career path. Although all the training and courses were valuable to me to start my career, they were not enough for work, and I knew that. I have graduated from university and worked before, and I knew even though college is necessary for me, it is not sufficient. Launchpad was the missing part of the puzzle. The course’s mentor-based, hands-on nature helped me foster my skills in C#, ASP.NET, and, more importantly, solving unknown problems I may encounter doing the job. And the last one is the most crucial takeaway from Launchpad for me. You may learn C# in a course or attend a webinar to familiarize yourself with ASP.NET. Still, you cannot borrow an experienced developer’s mind and learn how they tackle a problem to solve it efficiently. What I needed on top of my formal education was learning how to think like a developer. And that’s precisely what Launchpad is, in my opinion.
